Environmental Regulations
The duty to preserve and protect the environment and our natural resources is the responsibility of all of us. We recognize the obligation for our operations worldwide to be in compliance with the environmental laws, regulations and the legitimate interests of the communities in which we live. The need to preserve and protect vital natural resources including our air, water and land is essential for our future, and the future of our children.
Chemtronics has a comprehensive and consistent environmental focus in all of our activities. We shall strive to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, continuously improve environmental performance, and minimize environmental impacts in the environments in which we operate. We encourage everyone to participate in this endeavor to improve our environment so we may be proud of our place in the community.
RoHS Policy
Chemtronics is fully committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products and totally supports the efforts of the European Union’s RoHS Directive, “Restrictions on the use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment” (2002/95/EC). All Chemtronics products, with the exception of the CircuitWorks® Pocket Solder, part number S100-72, are compliant with the requirements of the RoHS regulations.
With the exception of the lead contained in the Pocket Solder (S100), Chemtronics products do not contain any lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) at or above the following limits:
- Lead (Pb) 0.1% (1000 ppm)
- Cadmium (Cd) 0.01% (100 ppm)
- Mercury (Hg) 0.1% (1000 ppm)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr [VI]) 0.1% (1000 ppm)
- Polybrominated Biphenyl (PBB) 0.1% (1000 ppm)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) 0.1% (1000 ppm)
